Kate's Bio
I’m new to the Midwest--moved to Chicago in September from my warmer-weathered hometown, Virginia Beach, Va. As an undergrad, I studied religion and print journalism at Washington and Lee University (a tiny liberal arts school in Virginia… it’s ok if you’ve never heard of it!). I’m subjecting myself to one more year of college, working on my masters at Northwestern University’s Medill School of Journalism. I interned for Bloomberg News in Washington, D.C. and The Virginian-Pilot in Norfolk, Va.
A religious wanderer, I’ve found studying spirituality in modernity to be a great way to understand society on a deeper level. When I’m not contemplating the meaning of it all, I watch “The Office” and cooking shows on TV, experiment with baking and write letters to my close friends who’re now scattered all over the world.- 70 clout earned
