He seems to be trying to build support for a future action through the media. His impeachment is not worth fighting because he sees the writing on the wall

It's quite interesting to see what ignorant Americans have to say: "European asshole." 95% of you don't have a clue what's going on outside of your state. You couldn't find Europe on a map. Politics in America is more shady than the Americans portray politics to be in Russia or China. Wake up people. All you people do is sensationalize Hollywood and you believe everything you see on tv. Seriously, travel a bit and maybe you will learn a few things. If someone took tidbits of each of your conversations, what would they conclude??

Governor Blagojevich, out smarted the system in creative ways. He obviously did not go about his agendas alone. Though, I do not like the foul verbage. Make's it seem he went about things disrespectfully. I am convinced he stepped on some political TOES! So then it exploded! He has to go! Then a new agenda to impeachment formulated in the media. Behind closed doors it's like you scratch my back and I'll scratch yours. Too me, if Governor Sarah Palin can be cleared with a colorful rainbow slap on the hand. Then why can't Blagojevich? He ended up doing the right thing and choose Mr Burris to be the new Senator; no strings attached. So if he had a masterplan to bargain for the empty Senate seat it never came forth. It did not happen! Law enforcement reacted too soon, they jumped the gun. I seen tears in the man's eyes and a hard lesson he learned. His wife lost her high paying job and his kids are reaping the repercussions. Prison for Blagojevich and/or impeachment should be..NO WAY!!! Palin is still Governor so why the double standard. Fight the good fight Mr. Blagojevich. Your livelyhood is at stake! Get your act together for your family's sake. Your too smart to be under the guise of corruption... Stop the boastful talk like on the tapes. If it ain't nothing, then it will be nothing. Just sayin...PEACE

All you neigh sayers and hating on Governor Blagojevich. Out of the abundance of the heart, the mouth speaketh. Stop all the personal judgement of this man's character! This is his livelyhood. Yet you all make these rediculous opinions, while the man is facing impeachment in the face of accusations based on "Hearsay, Hearsay, Hearsay!!!" Personal opinions, "I think, I think, I think!!!" Solicting support of your obsurb opinions, " What do you think?, What do your think?, What do you think?" I believe most Americans are not entertained with blasting his basic character. Witnessing the destruction of Blagojevich's political career; Governor since 2003. Inpeachment should be the last resort based on hearsay, opinions and guessing what's in this man's own mind. If this is all they have. Then how can you all take a "Twig" out of his eye, when you have a "Log" in yours? Hearsay vs no evidence of wrong doing? Blagojevich is in tune with the very thing our Country is facing, a perilous enonomy, hard to deal with, hard to bare. Blagojevich has passion in the demeanor of his heart. God Bless You, Mr. Governor. Fight the good fight. Follow your dreams. Protect your family. Don't look at the circumstances, but look at the bigness of God!

Illinois is a better state with him out of power, but i think that they shouldve left him in power until he was convicted. he only had a year left on his term, and obviously noone is going to vote for him again. I think the public awareness of this incident pushed this out of control. there are countless other politicians that did worse that he did that are still in office.

Another timeline to check out - recently updated to include Blago's hosting of show on WLS http://timelines.com/topics/rod-blagojevich

And my browser doesn't support spam comments all that well. Don't do that again.

I think that timeline is a little hard to follow or my browser doesn't support addons like that very well.

Tell the European asshole to cut his freaking hair- what a moron!!!

Guys, these comments are all really great :) I particulare liked when Richard said. Blago is exactly as you describe him Richard: mentally 12 years old.

If you're interested in learning more about the cesspool from whence Blago was spawned, you might want to read the Daily Daley if you don't already. You can find it here on the Citizen at http://dailydaley.windycitizen.com Hope you have a minute to check it out and join the discussions in the comments.

If I give a homeless person a $1.00 for 364 days in a row and on the 365th day I rob him does that mean I should go free?

Governor fool us once, shame on you. Fool us twice, shame on me.

Sorry girl but he is a "crook". The worst one to come around since Nixon.

Sorry girl but he shot himself in the foot.

Is this guy 11 years old or what? Palin is a fool and a boob!

what's all this talk about calling for Blagojevich to "resign?" ... "throw him in prison" sounds a lot more fitting

it gives me chills to see how calm and collected he continues to act

I agree with you! The calm and arrogance is irritating! The guy should be thrown in jail for all the stuff he did in Illinois.

Blagojevich - do the Illinois citizens a favor and resign...we deserve a Governor who will truly represent us, the interests of our state, and not just your interests - shame on you and shame on us for letting you be there this long.

This smug bastard disgusts me. It is painfully obvious how full of himself he is when he continues to give that ignorant smile despite the shame that he is bringing upon the good state of Illinois. He should sent to a normal prison, and find out what happens to guys like him.

I have no compassion for self-righteous jerks like this, especially when they are politicians that get in office and then spit on the people that they should serve.

Great timeline for the past and present - here are some Blagojevich events from the future you could probably add:

(They should just make the senate seat part of the Illinois lottery. HUGE fund raiser!)

Why does this dilettante keep quoting from the Rudyard
Kipling poem, "If" ??
He keeps subverting the real intent of the poem by
leaving out the lines that show the balanced sense
of reality that a real man would have (or, would
have learned through the process of maturation).
He just seems to have the emotional maturity of a
12-year-old.

This guy is a bleeping crook.
He is just as arrogant as this current president.

! 1 points by John D. 42 weeks 4 days ago

No his mind is 11 years old, LOL!!

! 1 points by Operaman 45 weeks 3 days ago

I'd just like to finish this press conference with a little poem:

There once was a son of a bitch,
In Chicago called Blagojevich.
They caught him on tape
selling a seat in the Senate
and now the poor bastard's impeached

Stop the witch hunt now! Set Hot Rod Free! Some folks out there have organized the movement to Free Rod Blagojevich, including a letter writing campaign, at http://www.freerodblagojevich.com.
