About this blog

Hey we’re 10 years without an all-star and the best part of the season is the end of the season when the 2010 free agency spree begins. But in between, we’ll have a lot of fun. Derrick Rose may ascend to stardom; Aaron Gray may get that Vitamin Water contract he was seeking and Vinny DelNegro will get Kirk Hinrich’s name right.

Gasol eats Bulls alive...but a Rose still grows

Derrick Rose is showing some good stuff.

If you look at tonight's boxscore, you probably won't notice anything incredibly special.  Yeah, Gasol had 34 points, but what's really noteworthy is that 24 of them came in the first half.

Add his 14-of-21 shooting and it's more of the same for the Bulls.

I hate to harp on it any longer, but I can't help it: the Bulls need serious inside help.

Tyrus Thomas update:  31 minutes, 9/5/3 with two steals, three blocks and four turnovers.  It's becoming clear that Thomas is still the sporadic, undisciplined, offense-less player that he was a year ago.  It's hard to imagine him developing any kind of real offensive game this year.  The steals and blocks are nice, but the Bulls need more from this potential X-factor.

Aaron Gray update: 22 minutes, 11/5.  His minutes have been inconsistent, but at least coach Del Negro is playing him.  It's a wonder that Joakim Noah continues to start.  His futility has been the only thing astounding about his play.

Derrick Rose update:  25/3/9, 11-of-18 from the field.  The kid continues to impress.  He's got some Dwyane Wade potential, but he still has to show an ability to lift his team to victories.  Rose is still very green, so hopefully that will come soon enough.

I think that it is good to see Gray get some playing time. I loved Skiles, but my one complaint was that he didn't give enough playing time to players like Gray and Sefolosha. Sefolosha hasn't done much this season, but I really don't want Rose getting comfortable with Gordan knowing that he really shouldn't be back next season unless the Bulls get rid of Hughes or Hinrich.

Hey nice article I think that the Bulls should trade Ben Gordon and Tyrus Thomas for a big man that they desperately need. Why did they ever trade Lamarcus Aldridge for Tyrus Thomas, so dumb

Great point. I was going to mention that eventually.

The Bulls would be a vastly superior team with Aldridge. Did John Paxon really think that Thomas and Viktor Khryapa were worth more than Aldridge?

This, along with the decision to kill the trade for Kobe because of Luol Deng, should make all Bulls fans seethe with fiery anger.
