Introducing our contributors for Pitchfork 2009

For Pitchfork 2009 we have assembled a team of reporters to bring you everything you need to know about the festival from the best acts to the cheapest food to the craziest clothing. Before they start reporting today we thought we would introduce them.

Ty Howell (@tyhowell) is a musician from Muncie, IN and a four-time Pitchfork attendee. He runs the blog Popular By Design.

Chris Atto (@dailybeatz) is a Detroit area music freak and overall class act. He runs dailybeatz.

Max Blau (@maxblau) is a student at Emory University with a lifelong obsession with all things music--from studying the music industry, to being a multi-instrumentalist to discovering and blogging about new music. He runs The War on Pop.

Joel Mattern (@joellym) runs kidslooklikekats and is from Chicago.

Justin Wright (@otiscorner) is a musician, self-employed entrepreneur, father, husband, and all around good guy from Jackson, TN.

Tim Vasil (@TimV57) is a 40-something dad/husband/working stiff/music pack rat who enjoys food, beer, soda, books and writing about music when he can find the time. He runs the blog Bowlful of Crickets.

Check out their Twitter feeds for live updates from the festival, and we look forward to their posts here!

John Kristoff
Hailing from the great state of Minnesota (though people have told him he doesn’t have one of those Fargo-esque accents), John came to Chicago for college. He's studying in DePaul University's M.A. in Journalism program. He loves simplicity, "Curb Your Enthusiasm" and a great story. More
