The former Chicago Main Post Office is being auctioned off with a starting bid of $300,000. Time to visit the bank to get your cashiers checks ready. (yeah, right)

There's a story like that on every winding row of McMansions up in the Northwest suburbs.
True! But those were never public buildings. Plus, I think the term McMansions misses the point. It should be BIG MacMansion, since they do have kids meals too, right? :)
